PROBLEMS WE CARE ABOUT
The World Economic Forum has declared “Erosion of social cohesion” and “Large scale involuntary migration” as two of the most pressing global risks of the next decade. These risks are likely to be intensified by advancement of frontier technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and worsening impacts of climate change.
Misuse of powerful technologies like AI by bad actors and lack of education in underserved communities is fuelling the fire of misinformation and disinformation that is at the heart of fracturing social cohesion. Lack of scaled innovation in capacity development for adaptation and resilience against climate change is driving more people to pursue unsafe irregular pathways for migration. We care about these issues deeply as we believe our unique blend of knowledge and experience in education, technology and leadership for equal opportunities can help resolve them.
We have spent the last decade delivering value for some of the world’s largest corporations by harnessing the power of transformative technologies, giving millions of people access to education and employment. Today, we are committed to applying our expertise to accelerate action for the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are closely interlinked to the problems we care about. Specifically: SDG 4 - Quality Education, SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 10 - Reduced Inequalities and SDG 13 - Climate Action. Our purpose is to serve the needs of social impact innovators, small to medium sized enterprises and institutions that are driving these actions forward.
